Concept Artist IV

Our client, a leading innovator in the creative technology industry, is seeking a Concept Artist IV to join their dynamic team. As a Concept Artist IV, you will be supporting the creative development of cutting‑edge XR experiences and visual storytelling projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Concept Artist IV

Remote (PST preferred)

$55‑$62 per hour (duration 3 month contract with chance of extension)

• Create compelling pitch decks and visual presentations to communicate ideas and project concepts.
• Produce high-quality concept art, videos, and 3D characters/environments using GenAI and traditional tools.
• Refine and polish 3D outputs by reprocessing them through generative AI tools to produce final 2D images.
• Collaborate proactively with cross‑functional teams to visually communicate and iterate quickly.
• Stay current with emerging GenAI tools and techniques for art, video, and 3D creation.

• Proven experience as a visual storyteller in industries such as games, film, marketing, or XR.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating 2D art skills and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in 2D image manipulation software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Krita, Clip Studio Paint).
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, ZBrush).
• Proven ability to get extraordinary results from generative AI tools (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, Gemini).
• Ability to rapidly produce 2D concept art using GenAI tools.
• Strong 3D skills, including modeling and integrating 3D elements into concept workflows.
• Portfolio demonstrating realistic aesthetics (not stylized or “gamey” only).
• Substantial character concept experience.
• Ability to think beyond isolated assets and build cohesive visual narratives, story worlds, or product pitches.
• Hybrid creative profile aligned with a “concept AI technologist” — blending traditional concept art, GenAI ideation, and 3D proficiency.
