Senior Sound Designer

Perspective Pictures is seeking talented Senior Sound Designers to help shape the audio behind some of the best video content on the planet—and play a key role in building our audio team in Cape Town.

This is a fully remote contractor role (initially), offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, fast‑growing creative agency.

• Sound designing for a wide range of content – from branded films to fast‑paced social edits to cinematic documentary pieces.
• Mixing and mastering audio to broadcast‑ready standards.
• Cleaning, repairing, and enhancing production sound (dialogue, SFX, ambiences).
• Composing original music when required, or integrating and adapting an existing score.
• Collaborating closely with remote directors, editors, producers, and other creatives.
• Working efficiently across multiple projects in a fast‑moving production pipeline.

Strong experience with Pro Tools and professional sound design workflows.

Excellent understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and sound editing for digital content.

Skilled in dialogue editing, noise reduction, and general audio restoration.

Musical ability or composition experience is a big advantage.

Comfortable working in Lucid Link / Frame.io / Slack / G‑Drive / Parsec.

Organised & efficient; confident managing your own technical setup, plugins, backups, and session workflows independently.

Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.

Demonstrable portfolio of sound design and mixing work across various types of content.

A sharp ear for detail and high quality control standards on final deliveries.

Interest in emerging AI audio tools and new production technology.

Up‑to‑date with trends in film, advertising, and sound design.

• Managing audio post‑production from brief to final delivery for assigned projects.
• Liaising closely with editors, directors, producers, and clients to deliver exceptional audio work.
• Attending and contributing to client reviews, mix sessions, and internal creative meetings when needed.
• Regular communication with the team to update them on progress, challenges, and new technical developments.
