Thimble Alterations seeks a skilled and experienced seamstress to work from home.

We are looking for a seamstress to provide excellent customer service and perform alterations and repairs on garments from a home workspace. This role highlights garment construction and sewing expertise.

• Own a sewing machine; this is a work‑from‑home position.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a seamstress performing dress alterations.
• Experience with Bridal, Prom, or Evening Dresses or Suits is preferred.
• Proficiency in sewing machines and alteration tools.
• Strong garment construction knowledge.
• High attention to detail and precise measurement skills.
• Basic math skills for fabric calculations.
• Ability to maintain high‑quality standards.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.

• Alter and repair garments: hemming, taking in or letting out seams, replacing buttons or zippers.
• Use sewing machines, hand tools and equipment to complete tailoring tasks.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, assist fittings, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Take accurate measurements during fittings.
• Maintain a clean, organized home workspace.
