Experienced Seamstress (Work from Home) – Columbia, TN

Thimble Alterations is seeking an experienced Seamstress to perform garment alterations and repairs from your home workspace.

Provide excellent customer service while crafting, repairing and tailoring garments.

• Own a sewing machine for a work‑from‑home position.
• At least 2 years of experience as a seamstress with dress alterations.
• Experience with Bridal, Prom, Evening Dresses or Suits preferred.
• Proficient in using sewing machines and alteration tools.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and precise measurement skills.
• Basic math skills for fabric calculations.
• Ability to uphold high‑quality standards.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.

• Perform alterations and repairs on garments, including hemming, taking in/out seams, and replacing buttons or zippers.
• Use sewing machines, hand tools, and other equipment to complete tailoring tasks.
• Assist customers with fitting and ensure satisfaction with finished product.
• Take accurate measurements during fittings.
• Maintain a clean and organized home work area.
