Are you a fast and fabulous digital writer with a nose for need-to-know news and a love of all things parenting? Netmums – the parenting platform trusted by millions – is on the lookout for a brilliant Senior Writer to join our editorial team.

You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality, shareable and SEO-optimised content across multiple channels – from online and newsletter to social and push notifications. You’ll spot trending topics before they hit mainstream and write compelling stories that inform, support and inspire our audience of UK parents.

About the role:

Reporting to our Head of News, you’ll write daily trending news stories, features, interviews and advice-led content designed to fly on Google Discover, fire up social media and land right in inboxes via our daily newsletter. You’ll be part of a fun, creative and fast-paced team that cares deeply about our audience – and about making parenting just that little bit easier.

Your Day-to-Day will Include:

• Writing clickable, informative and accurate stories that resonate with UK parents
• Pitching ideas inspired by stories on Instagram, Tik Tok and beyond – with an eye on parenting trends and celeb mums and dads
• Curating and sending our daily news newsletter
• Creating push notifications to drive website traffic
• Using SEO and audience data to shape content that performs
• Sourcing imagery (Canva) and liaising with a strong network of PRs and experts for quotes and reviews

You’ll need:

• Published experience as a digital content writer or journalist
• A passion for parenting, lifestyle or family-focused topics
• Great instinct for a story
• Understanding of SEO, Google Discover and social referral best practice
• Knowledge of Wordpress and Canva (you’ll need skills and a can-do attitude when it comes to resizing an image)
• A calm, proactive and positive mindset – we work fast, support each other and have fun doing it
