Position: Wanted: Remote Designer – Shopper Marketing Layouts (End-of-Aisle, Shelf Wobblers, etc.) Locati[...]

About the Role

We are seeking an expert Remote Designer with a proven track record in shopper marketing and in-store communication assets. The ideal candidate will specialise in high-impact, on-shelf layouts that drive attention and conversion—specifically end-of-aisle gondolas, shelf wobblers, and other shopper assets. You will collaborate with our marketing, merchandising, and packaging teams to translate brand guidelines into compelling, print-ready and digital-ready layouts that perform in-store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design end-of-aisle gondolas, shelf wobblers, danglers, POP displays, and related shopper assets that align with brand guidelines and retail objectives.
  • Create scalable, production-ready layouts suitable for print and digital channels, including dieline-ready files when required.
  • Collaborate with merchandisers and brand managers to understand category, SKU assortment, price promotions, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Develop concept boards, layout mock-ups, and polished final deliverables with attention to typography, color, imagery, and hierarchy.
  • Ensure assets are optimised for printing specifications, colour management (CMYK/RGB), bleed, safe zones, and trim marks.
  • Prepare and manage files for handoffs to printers, vendors, and internal production teams.
  • Iterate based on feedback from stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on speed-to-delivery without sacrificing quality.
  • Maintain a consistent design system and reusable template library for efficiency and future campaigns.
  • Stay updated on retail design trends, dimensional constraints, and in-store experiential formats.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrable portfolio featuring shopper marketing layouts for in-store assets (end-of-aisle gondolas, shelf wobblers, POP displays, etc.).
  • Proven experience with large-scale, print-ready production files and dielines.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Experience with 3D or layout visualisation tools is a plus.
  • Strong typography, grid systems, and visual hierarchy skills tailored to retail environments.
  • Familiarity with color management, soft-proofing, and print production workflows.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, manage timelines, and communicate clearly.
  • Attention to detail, quality, and consistency across assets and campaigns.
  • Portfolio must include case studies or brief explanations of the business objectives, constraints, and outcomes of each project.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with shelf-ready packaging (SRP) and dieline packaging files.
  • Knowledge of retailer specifications and guidelines (e.g., major national or regional retailers you’ve designed for).
  • Basic motion or digital asset adaptation for in-store digital screens.
  • Familiarity with brand systems and design tokens for shopper marketing.

This is a remote position.

Deliverables
  • Desktop and print-ready layout files for selected concepts (AI/INDD/PSD or equivalents) with linked assets.
  • Production-ready dielines, color profiles, and export packs.
  • A concise design rationale and notes for each asset.
  • Versioned asset library for reusability across campaigns.
How to Apply
  • Submit a portfolio link (dribbble/Behance/Personal site) showcasing shopper asset layouts (end-of-aisle gondolas, shelf wobblers, POP displays, etc.).
  • Include brief case studies or project summaries that highlight objectives, constraints, outcomes, and your specific contributions.
  • State your availability, typical turnaround times, and preferred communication channels.
  • Include your proposed approach to a sample brief (optional) and any relevant references or testimonials.
Evaluation Criteria
  • Relevance and depth of portfolio in shopper marketing layouts.
  • Production proficiency (dielines, print specs, colour management).
  • Visual storytelling and ability to drive shopper engagement through layout.
  • Remote collaboration readiness and communication clarity.
  • Reliability with meeting deadlines and delivering reusable design templates.
Benefits

None.
