Role Overview
The role of a Visual UI Designer design team is on a mission to turn complex, open‑source software into intuitive products that can change the face of enterprise IT. We are looking for an exceptional Visual UI Designer who shares our passion.
LocationLocation: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
What will your day look likeIn a multi‑disciplinary environment, you will collaborate with visual designers, UX designers, engineers, and product teams to create styled presentations that enhance the user experience of our products. You will produce real content and information at the core of designs, ensuring typography, colour, layout, usability, accessibility and web standards are met. You will bring the Ubuntu and Canonical brands to life across events, offices, and digital and social assets.
Responsibilities- Create bold, intuitive Visual UI designs for web and digital assets.
- Ensure designs are accessible and meet web standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement and iterate designs.
- Apply design thinking and bring the brand to life across events and assets.
- Excellent academic results at school and university.
- Bachelor's or equivalent in Art /Design.
- Exceptional design talent with experience in branding, visual identities and brand experiences.
- Knowledge and passion for user experience, technology and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement—curious, flexible, scientific.
- Engagement with the latest design research and innovation.
- Knowledge of tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or Penpot.
Your base pay will depend on various factors including location, experience, knowledge and skills. The role includes potential for annual bonuses and rewards based on performance. Our compensation philosophy ensures equity across the global workforce.
