Job Overview
As a Senior CGI Artist at Trident, you will produce high‑quality CGI assets, both static and animated, according to customer specifications. You will collaborate with clients, mentor teammates, and support the rollout of new R&D strategies and training initiatives.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CGI modeling workflow and geometry.
- Create photorealistic materials using bump, displacement, and normal maps.
- Master UV mapping and use industry‑standard software such as 3
DSMax with V‑Ray, Illustrator, and Photoshop. - Develop compelling lighting and visual presentation, applying composition, color, texture, and lighting techniques.
- Build complex static and animated CGI assets, showcasing advanced animation skills.
- Guide, advise, and mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
- Participate in client meetings and deliver demonstrations of advanced CGI capabilities.
- Support the implementation of new R&D strategies and training initiatives as technologies evolve.
- Contribute to the creation of standard working practices and workflow standardisation.
- Minimum of 5years of experience in the CGI industry, with a strong emphasis on animation and realistic rendering.
- Proven experience with 3
DSMax/V‑Ray to create high‑quality rendered images. - Knowledge of post‑production software such as After Effects is desirable.
- Curiosity to explore emerging technologies.
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of photography is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to listen and articulate ideas.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels and collaborate within a team.
- Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills, adaptable to a dynamic environment.
- Proactive problem‑solving, coaching, and decision‑making capabilities.
- Competitive salary £28,000–£35,000, dependent on experience.
