Salary: £63,586.70 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £2,764. There is the ability to progress to £70,394.81 over the next 2 years.
Current employees in banding 44-48 will maintain their existing salary.

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Head of Briefings and Regional Media. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of high-quality briefing and press materials to support the Labour Party’s communications and press activity, with a particular focus on coordinating collaboration between the Labour HQ press team and the nations and regions.
The role will ensure that Labour representatives and spokespeople are equipped with clear, accurate and consistent messaging for media appearances, press engagement and public commentary. The Head of Briefings and Regional Media will also ensure nations and regions press teams have consistent and high-quality press materials to promote the work of the Labour Party and the Labour Government across the country.
The successful candidate will have:
- A strong knowledge and understanding of the Labour Party and its values
- Experience producing briefings, communications materials or media lines in a press, political or communications environment
- Experience briefing politicians ahead of media appearances
- Ability to work collaboratively across communications, press and digital teams

The Labour Party’s standard working arrangement is that all employees based in headquarters in London/Newcastle attend their contracted office four days per week, Monday to Thursday. Home working is only authorised on Fridays.
