The role will include working with residents in Welland, Peterborough to co-commission new bespoke creative programmes for the community. This will be alongside supporting the team with the wider PP programme.

We’re looking for a new Community Producer to support the Peterborough Presents team over the next 12 months. This role will take a lead on working with a specific community in Peterborough, supporting them to create new bespoke creative programmes whilst also supporting the wider programme of the team.
As Community Producer, this person will be responsible for creatively engaging the community to understand their skills, stories, needs and ambitions, using this to help shape the creation of new creative programmes. You will recruit and support community commissioning panels who will help shape and co-commission new arts programmes for their communities. You will then work alongside the communities and commissioned artists / creatives to project manage the programmes including organising events and workshops, working with the wider team on marketing and evaluation.
We are looking for an experienced community producer who can lead the development of a new creative programme in Welland, Peterborough as well as supporting the wider Peterborough Presents programme. We anticipate the programme in Welland focusing on artists residency and regular creative activity. Family Action, Woodfield Park Community Centre and National Literacy Trust are amongst our growing group of key partners in the area.

This is a part-time role, working 18.75 hours per week for 12 months, starting asap. The role will require some evenings and weekend work. Your employment contract will be with Peterborough Presents host organisation, Nene Park Trust. The Trust provides 33 days of annual leave pro rata (including Bank Holidays). You will have access to pension and health benefits via NPT.

Location:
The Peterborough Presents team will be based at Peterborough Museum for approx. 5–6 months. Longer-term our office will be at another city-centre location tbc. The role will require working within the community, specifically Welland and other target communities. We offer flexible home-working but would prefer for roles to be minimum 60% based in the PP office.
