Location: Southwestern Ontario

As a remote Journalist, you will thrive in the Exeter Lakeshore Times Advance and Goderich Signal-Star newsrooms, where your enterprising spirit and understanding of local issues will shine. The ideal candidate will report on breaking news, feature stories, and investigative projects, while cultivating sources and taking photographs to enhance their articles. Your goal is to deliver clear, concise, and engaging content that reflects Huron County’s rich tapestry of stories.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report and write for print, web, and mobile audiences
• Develop ideas for daily coverage and enterprise stories
• Cultivate sources to broaden local story range
• Take photographs for local events and news stories
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent journalism experience
• Flexibility in writing across various styles
• Strong interest in community journalism
• Experience in photography is an asset
