We are looking for an experienced Avid Edit Assistant to join our busy Documentaries team. The successful candidate will bring a flexible range of skills to our transatlantic post-production operations, supporting teams and shows across offline services, technical areas and turnover.
The role will operate on a late UK hours shift pattern to align with our US operations.
The standard hours will be 15:00-00:00 GMT, subject to contractual flexibility with a 2-hour option on either side, with notice.

Key responsibilities- Day-to-day tasks would include general edit support, ingesting, grouping, syncs, pulls, string outs, creating temp GFX, script sync, review exports, finding archive, etc...
- Providing Finishing Support Services such as conforming, media management, online editorial change management and turnover.
- Supporting the technical teams to provide onboarding, induction and facilitating UK-based physical and system support.
- Running and maintaining review sessions between UK and US facilities.
- Facilitating effective communication and change management for shows and teams as a bridge for the transatlantic collaboration - supported by the Post Management teams in both locations.
- Assisting in managing and maintaining our LTO backup and media management services.
- Proven experience as an Edit Assistant on HETV and/or feature-length content.
- Broad understanding of post-production workflows and pipelines.
- Good working knowledge of Avid Media Composer and general post infrastructure.
- Experience ingesting and syncing large amounts of footage, including 8K, 6K and drone.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with an ability to stay calm, clear, and methodical under pressure and deal with any issues that arise.
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for creative storytelling.
- Up-to-date knowledge of new industry technologies
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
- Familiarity with LTO backup systems and media management is a plus.
The base for this position is Kew, London. Due to the nature of the role, remote working will not be possible.
Working Day5-day week, based in the Kew office.
15:00-00:00 GMT subject to contractual flexibility with a 2-hour option either side, with notice.
This role will require a degree of flexibility and possibly weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team on a schedule based on production requirements.
Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day work week.
