Position: Community-Focused Journalist Remote Role

Join Postmedia as a full-time Journalist based remotely in Huron County, Ontario. Create engaging stories that capture the essence of your community’s narratives.

In this role, you will become an essential member of the Exeter Lakeshore Times Advance and Goderich Signal-Star teams, where your skills in reporting and storytelling will be put to the test. You’ll need to develop story ideas that hold local significance while cultivating relationships within the community. Your writing will need to adapt to different platforms, enhancing engagement through clear, concise, and visually rich content, including photographs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report and write engaging stories for print and digital platforms

• Create daily coverage ideas and investigative projects

• Build sources for a diverse array of community stories

• Capture photographs that illustrate local events

Requirements:

• University degree or equivalent experience in journalism

• Flexibility to write in various styles and formats

• Strong interest in community journalism

• Photography experience is desirable
