We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Graphic Designer II to join an in‑house creative team for a 14-month contract. In this role, you will be a key contributor supporting ongoing creative initiatives delivered to both internal and external audiences for a leading financial institution. This position requires working onsite 4 days a week at an office in downtown Toronto, with 1 day of remote work from home.
The ideal candidate is a strategic, technically proficient designer with a blend of advanced creative expertise and strong collaborative skills. You will take a holistic view of projects, from holding creative briefs with stakeholders to coordinating printing and final delivery with vendors. You must have the ability to work within existing brand guidelines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy across a wide variety of materials.
Responsibilities- Campaign and Collateral Development: Collaborate with business partners to develop high-quality marketing materials, including sales tools, pitch decks, event branding, brochures, and marketing collateral, ensuring all creative concepts align with overall brand and strategic objectives.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Independently handle all aspects of assigned design projects, including holding intake/creative briefs with stakeholders, managing production timelines, and coordinating printing and delivery with external vendors.
- Data Visualization and Digital Design: Create visual concepts, infographics, and data visualizations, ensuring an exceptional knowledge of graphic, web, and accessibility design best practices.

Build relationships and interact confidently with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into impactful presentation materials (specifically PowerPoint) and user experience (UX) designs.

Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Creative
Experience:
Demonstrated hands‑on experience working as a graphic designer within an agency or corporate in‑house environment. - Design Platform Proficiency: Expert‑level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, After Effects, Figma, and Premiere Pro).
- Microsoft Office & Presentation
Skills:
Essential advanced capability in PowerPoint, alongside proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Accessibility and Technical Knowledge: Fluency in accessibility design best practices and a strong technical understanding of how web‑based technologies (HTML, CSS) apply to web design.
- Data Visualization: Solid professional experience in info graphic design and translating complex data into clean, visual layouts.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills with the confidence to communicate ideas and manage creative briefs with stakeholders effectively.
- Portfolio Submission: Candidates must provide a maximum of 10 relevant portfolio samples showcasing current branding and design work.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience or background within the banking or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of website structure and application (APP) development.
