Position: Remote Video Editor – Junior Contract

Join a dynamic team dedicated to producing high-quality educational video content for dog trainers and handlers. This freelance role focuses on editing a diverse range of materials, including short promotional clips, social media videos, and long-form lectures and workshops. You will work with footage from various sources such as Canon EOS R cameras, DJI drones, and iPhones, often accompanied by organized B-roll.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to maintain a consistent brand style across all deliverables. Familiarity with pacing, viewer engagement strategies, and the latest editing technologies—including AI tools—is highly valued. Experience with educational or documentary-style editing is a strong asset, especially for longer‑form content. A genuine interest in dogs or animal training is a bonus. The position is primarily remote, but candidates based in or near Manchester may benefit from closer collaboration as the company grows.

Ongoing training, feedback, and support are provided, with the opportunity for a long‑term partnership.

Deliverables
  • Edit and assemble educational "how-to" videos, lectures, workshops, and promotional content for online platforms and social media
  • Ensure all videos adhere to established brand guidelines and maintain a professional, engaging style
  • Integrate B-roll, graphics, and audio as needed to enhance viewer engagement and clarity
  • Collaborate with the team to incorporate feedback and continuously improve production quality
  • Prepare final deliverables in required formats for various distribution channels
Requirements
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
  • Experience editing educational, documentary, or long‑form video content
  • Strong sense of pacing, narrative flow, and viewer engagement
  • Ability to work with footage from multiple camera sources and integrate B‑roll effectively
  • Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to follow consistent brand standards
  • Familiarity with AI‑powered editing tools is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Interest or background in dogs or animal training is a plus
  • Primarily remote; preference for candidates in or near Manchester for potential in‑person collaboration
