Sound Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and technically proficient Sound Designer to join their dynamic team in Midrand . This role is pivotal in shaping the auditory experience of our projects, contributing directly to user engagement and overall product quality. You will work closely with game developers, animators, and producers to craft immersive soundscapes and integrate audio assets seamlessly. We are looking for an individual who possesses a keen ear for detail, a passion for audio innovation, and the ability to translate creative concepts into compelling sound effects and music, ensuring a high standard of audio excellence.

• Design, record, and edit sound effects and Foley for various media projects.
• Create original musical scores or adapt existing music to fit project requirements and emotional tones.
• Implement audio assets into game engines or other production software using middleware like Wwise or FMOD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audio is synchronized and enhances the overall user experience.
• Maintain and organize the audio asset library, ensuring efficient retrieval and management.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in sound design and audio production.

• Proven experience as a Sound Designer or in a similar audio role, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
• Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
• Experience with audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) is highly advantageous.
• Solid understanding of audio principles, acoustics, and signal processing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to receive and incorporate feedback constructively.
