Senior Animation Director

Our client is searching for a visionary Senior Animation Director to lead their acclaimed animation studio remotely. You will be instrumental in defining and executing the animation style and quality for high-profile entertainment projects, guiding teams of animators to achieve breathtaking visual storytelling. This role requires a deep understanding of animation principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to foster a collaborative, creative environment from afar.

You will work closely with directors, producers, and art leads to ensure that all animated sequences meet the highest artistic and technical standards, driving the overall creative vision of the studio.

• Lead, mentor, and inspire teams of character animators and technical animators across multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain the overall animation quality and artistic direction for feature films and episodic content.
• Collaborate with the directing team to interpret scripts and storyboards, translating them into compelling animated performances.
• Review animation dailies, providing clear, actionable feedback to ensure consistency and artistic integrity.
• Develop and refine animation pipelines and workflows to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Champion innovative animation techniques and technologies to push creative boundaries.

• Extensive experience (8+ years) in animation, with a significant portion in a lead or directorial role on major animated productions.
• Proven ability to direct and manage animation teams, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Mastery of animation principles , character performance, and cinematic storytelling.
• Proficiency with industry-standard animation software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
• Exceptional understanding of storyboarding , visual development, and production pipelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at remote collaboration.
