This full-time contract role requires a journalism degree or equivalent experience. As a Remote Reporter, you will craft 5-7 weekly stories for  and other Metroland publication websites. You must reside in the Huntsville area to conduct interviews and take photographs for your articles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write 5-7 stories weekly for local publications

• Engage with community leaders for interviews

• Capture photographs to accompany articles

• Collaborate virtually with the editorial team

• Manage story deadlines and submissions efficiently

Requirements:

• Journalism degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Ability to work independently in a virtual setting

• Strong interviewing and writing skills

• Proficiency in social media and online journalism

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
