Content Creator and Video Editor

We're a well-established, founder-led food business in Connecticut looking for one person to own the production side of our social media content across two channels.

• Edit short-form video (Reels, Tik Toks, Shorts) from start to finish. This is the core of the job.
• Edit longer You Tube-style videos from longer recordings
• Film on location with a camera and phone, with some shoots in person and some footage sent to you
• Publish and schedule content natively on Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, Linked In, and You Tube, adjusting format, captions, and tone for each platform
• Add captions and text overlays
• Keep an organized content calendar and footage library
• Keep up with trending audio and formats and pitch ideas for how we can use them
• Take creative direction on voice and tone, with final approval from the founder

• Have a strong editing portfolio covering both short-form and longer-form video (short-form matters most)
• Have hands-on editing experience in Cap Cut, Final Cut Pro, or similar software
• Are comfortable filming with a camera and a phone, and can be on-site some days
• Can find the story in raw footage and cut with good pacing
• Know how each platform works, including what performs on Tik Tok versus Linked In versus You Tube
• Are organized, reliable, and hit deadlines without being chased
• Know which trends fit a food brand and which don't
• Take direction well and still bring your own ideas

food or hospitality content experience, scheduling tools like Metricool, clip-generation tools like Opus Clip.

• Up to 20 hours/week, with a mix of on-site and remote work
• Located in southern Connecticut (on-site days required)
