Work in-office in Downtown MN while leading product design that supports Owned Brand goals. This role is designed for senior designers who enjoy owning the full design and development loop, from market research to fabric, trims, graphics, and brand cohesion. You will work 4 days per week onsite from Target’s Downtown Minnesota campus and this position is not eligible for remote work

Compensation
: USD 95, per year.
- Lead Owned Brand Product Design and Development
, translating direction from design leaders into product design strategy and merchant objectives
. - Design product lines for a category, brand, business, or guest segment
, applying expertise in product design and development. - Own and lead the PD&D Design and Development Processes
, including clear, timely communication with internal and external partners. - Drive and lead product research and design
, including the ability to forecast trends across the assigned category, brand, business, or guest segment. - Globally shop markets to identify trends and travel to factories to support development and execution of programs.
- Mentor Associate Designers and Designers, supporting collaboration across the larger team.
- Drive concepts, select color stories
, and develop fabrics, prints, trim, and graphics
. - Support brand cohesion by partnering with peers across the division to maintain continuity.
- Produce product designs that align with merchant line plans
, assortment strategies, price points, and overall creative direction. - Collaborate with technical designers and sourcing partners to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues.
- Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or a similar area, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in sweaters, knits, and wovens.
- Computer design system skills including Illustrator and Photoshop
. - Advanced understanding of textiles
, garment construction/fit
, or raw materials and product production
. - Commercial sense and market knowledge, with ability to research and apply market and trend information.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment
. - Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative, and cost-effective design solutions.
- Knowledge of product development processes
