Video Editor

We are looking for a highly skilled, detail-oriented Social Media Video Editor to join the Yuusic team. You must be proficient in English. In this role, you will work directly with our founder, John, to scale his personal brand and elevate Yuusic's digital presence—primarily on You Tube, with cross-channel distribution on platforms like Instagram and Tik Tok. We are looking for a professional who takes extreme ownership of their craft.

Work closely with founder John to conceptualize, edit, and publish content that builds his personal brand and aligns with Yuusic's strategic goals

Transform raw footage into polished, highly engaging long-form You Tube videos, strictly optimized for watch-time and audience retention

Extract high-impact moments from long-form videos to create viral-style short-form content (Reels, Tik Toks, Shorts)

Cut, trim, and sequence footage while integrating seamless transitions, motion graphics, and visual effects

Elevate overall production value through color correction, color grading, sound design, and audio balancing

Incorporate dynamic text, graphics, captions, and curated music/SFX to keep viewers hooked

Organize, back up, and maintain project files, media libraries, and raw assets efficiently

Review video analytics and stakeholder feedback to iterate on editing styles, staying ahead of You Tube and social media trends

1+ years of professional experience editing video content specifically for You Tube and social media with a stellar portfolio of published work

Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve)

Deep understanding of pacing, hook structures, and storytelling techniques specifically designed to maintain high audience retention on You Tube

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate proactively, and consistently hit tight turnaround times

Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects)

Strong familiarity with color grading and applying/tweaking LUTs

Deep knowledge of You Tube optimization strategies (thumbnails, SEO, algorithm trends)

Prior experience working with branded content, marketing campaigns, or creator-led storytelling projects
