We’re looking for a talented Illustrator with a passion for hand lettering, illustration, and visual storytelling. This is a full-time remote position where you will collaborate with a passionate, cross-functional team across Southeast Asia. You’ll be at the heart of our product design process—conceptualizing, illustrating, and crafting impactful designs that resonate with our customers around the world. This role is ideal for someone with a deep appreciation for type as a form of expression and the ability to tell stories through lettering and visuals.
Responsibilities- Conceptualize and design original stationery and lifestyle products that reflect Navy Peony’s aesthetic and brand identity.
- Create original artwork through illustration, hand lettering, color palettes, and visual composition.
- Research design trends and market opportunities to inform product concepts and keep our offerings fresh and relevant.
- Explore competitor products and customer preferences to identify opportunities for distinctive, commercially appealing designs.
- Translate creative briefs into product designs by developing concepts, artwork, and initial digital mockups.
- Collaborate with the product manager and creative director to refine concepts and ensure designs align with brand and business objectives.
- Prepare production-ready artwork and design files using Adobe Creative Suite and Procreate.
- Review customer feedback and product performance to inform future design decisions and improve our creative direction.
- Maintain visual consistency across product designs while exploring new creative approaches and illustration techniques.
- 5+ years of proven experience in product design, digital illustration, commercial graphic design, or a related creative field.
- Advanced digital illustration skills focusing on digital drawing, vector layouts, and custom hand-lettering.
- Demonstrated experience building brand assets, visual identity systems, or cohesive product branding.
- High proficiency in industry-standard tools including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate.
- A strong eye for color palettes, balanced composition, custom typography, and visual storytelling.
- The ability to interpret creative briefs and independently deliver polished artwork to strict production standards.
- An understanding of design trends, customer preferences, and how to translate inspiration into compelling products.
- A diverse creative portfolio that clearly showcases original artwork and thoughtful design execution.
- Strong command of English and great communication skills.
- Consistently meets deadlines with excellent attention to detail.
- Adaptable and able to work in various design styles and project requirements.
- A deep appreciation for meaningful, beautiful stationery and lifestyle design.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- A sharp understanding of retail design trends and the ability to translate market inspiration into commercially successful products.
- Familiarity with print manufacturing setups including CMYK limitations, vector dielines, or luxury finishes like foil stamping.
