Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group
In editorial, when a book proposal is received, the editor decides whether or not to pursue it for acquisition. An editor works with the author to turn the manuscript into a finished book. They negotiate contracts, edit the books for content, structure and on a line-by-line basis, and collaborate with internal departments on how to package, market, and publicize the book.
Editors need to know what’s trending, what can sell to which target market, and what fits with their particular imprint.
This is an amazing opportunity to join an innovative department and work with adult nonfiction titles published by Penguin Random House Christian Publishing Group. PRH Christian is devoted to creating books that inspire readers to live with deeper spiritual purpose and grow in their faith, publishing across categories such as Christian Living, Spiritual Growth, Inspirational, Faith & Culture, and Catholic. Our authors include Jennie Allen, John Mark Comer, Madison Prewett, Annie
F. Downs and Bryce Crawford, and many others.
