Remote Lead Motion Graphics Designer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead Motion Graphics Designer to join their fully remote team, working from anywhere within South Africa . This is a leadership position where you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing compelling motion graphics for a variety of digital media, including marketing campaigns, explainer videos, social media content, and internal communications.

You will set the creative vision for motion graphics projects, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality output. The ideal candidate is a visionary storyteller with a passion for bringing ideas to life through dynamic animation and visual effects. You will collaborate with a global, distributed team of creatives, marketers, and developers, contributing significantly to the visual identity and engagement strategies of our client's various projects.

This role requires exceptional artistic talent, technical proficiency, and strong leadership capabilities to guide projects and mentor other designers in our client's virtual environment. • Lead the design and production of high-quality motion graphics and animations for diverse digital platforms.
• Develop creative concepts and storyboards that align with project objectives and brand guidelines.
• Animate graphics, text, and illustrations using industry-standard software.
• Manage multiple motion graphics projects simultaneously from concept to final delivery, ensuring timely completion.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and content teams to translate ideas into engaging visual narratives.
• Provide art direction and constructive feedback to junior motion designers and external vendors.
• Ensure all motion graphics adhere to brand standards and technical specifications for various platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in motion graphics and animation.

• Proven experience as a Motion Graphics Designer, with at least 7 years of professional experience and demonstrable leadership experience.
• A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional motion graphics work, including character animation, 2D/3D animation, and visual effects.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Cinema 4D (or similar 3D software), and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent understanding of animation principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively receive and provide feedback.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines in a remote setting.
• Experience with illustration and graphic design software (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus.
