You will assess video outputs for editing quality, pacing, continuity, transitions, color grading, audio synchronization, storytelling, technical specifications, and overall production standards. You will identify editing errors, provide precise written feedback, compare multiple video outputs, and help establish consistent quality expectations across video editing and AI training projects.

This role is with SME Careers, a fast-growing AI Data Services company and subsidiary of Super Annotate, delivering training data for many of the world’s largest AI companies and foundation-model labs. Your professional video editing expertise will directly help improve the world’s premier AI models by making their video understanding, editing, and generation capabilities more accurate, consistent, and aligned with professional production standards.

Mandatory:
As a part of selection process, applicants must ready to provide a working link to a professional video demo reel or portfolio that can be accessed by the Super Annotate team.

The portfolio should demonstrate professional editing capabilities, preferably including commercial, broadcast, film, television, or advanced digital video projects.

  • Develop AI training content:
Create expert-level editing scenarios, reference examples, quality assessments, and structured feedback that reflect real-world post-production standards.
  • Ensure production consistency:
Evaluate adherence to creative briefs, editing instructions, style guides, technical specifications, and project-specific rubrics.
  • Provide expert feedback:
Clearly document video editing errors, explain their impact, and recommend appropriate corrections using professional editing terminology.
  • Support quality calibration:
Help establish consistent evaluation standards across editors, reviewers, and video quality assessment workflows.
  • Maintain professional standards:
Ensure reviewed content meets expectations for visual storytelling, technical delivery, audio-visual coherence, and overall production quality.

  • Previous experience as a Lead Editor, Senior Video Editor, Post-Production Supervisor, QC Coordinator, or in a comparable quality-focused production role.
  • A shareable professional video demo reel or portfolio is mandatory, and must be accessible to the Super Annotate team for evaluation.
  • Deep understanding of editing fundamentals, including pacing, continuity, shot selection, narrative structure, transitions, visual composition, and storytelling.
