Job Description ```
Note:
The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company, part of the Skimm, produces practical, accurate, and accessible content across newsletters, websites, podcasts, and social channels. The Writer, Daily Skimm will pitch and write newsletter stories across multiple coverage areas, collaborate with editorial and cross-functional teams, and manage content production while using audience insights to optimize the newsletter experience.
Responsibilities Pitch and write stories for the Daily Skimm, including our larger Whats Happening sections as well as smaller sections throughout the newsletter
Work with the Editor, News, to produce the newsletter each day Collaborate with other team members (including Daily Skimm staff, other newsletter verticals, and the web team) to ideate and create content that resonates with the Daily Skimm reader
Manage the newsletter production process, from ideation to final upload
Regularly use data and audience insights to optimize content formats, and find opportunities to connect these to existing or new products
As needed, work closely with other departments, including Social and Multimedia, to ensure a seamless, continuously engaging email experience for the user

* Bachelor's Degree
* Strong initiative and work ethic. You're a self-starter who lives and breathes content and is tapped into the conversations women are having online and off
* 4+ years of digital writing and production experience
* A love of news and explaining complex stories
* The ability to write about news with both clarity and voice on tight deadlines
* Sharp news judgment and the ability to curate a newsletter for our target audience
* Demonstrated experience using audience and performance data to inform editorial strategy
* A deep interest in and knowledge of our core coverage verticals, including news, health, money, tech, sports, work and care, and culture
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, particularly around time management, scheduling, and project management
* Passion for the Skimm and its mission
