Junior UX​/UI Design Apprentice

Our client is seeking imaginative and user-focused individuals to join as Junior UX/UI Design Apprentices . This is a fully remote position where you will immerse yourself in the world of digital product design. You will work alongside our talented design team, learning to create intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our web and mobile applications. This apprenticeship offers hands-on training in user research, wire framing, prototyping, and UI design principles.

• Assist senior designers in conducting user research and gathering design requirements.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for digital products.
• Develop user interface designs adhering to brand guidelines and usability best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate concepts into intuitive user experiences.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback effectively.
• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of design systems.
• Test and iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
• Stay updated on the latest UX/UI design trends and technologies.

• A strong interest in User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) design.
• A portfolio showcasing design projects (even academic or personal projects are welcome).
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
• Excellent visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certificate in Design, HCI, or a related field is advantageous.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace for remote work.
• Must be authorized to work in East London , Eastern Cape , ZA for this fully remote role.
