Sales Support Team Lead

The Sales Support Team Leader works to enable the Quotes and Sales Support teams to ensure excellent service standards. This involves developing and implementing effective policies and procedures, managing and mentoring a team of sales support representatives, and handling escalated customer issues. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the department and collaborate with other teams, with the goal of providing an enhanced customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate the performance and competence levels of the Quotes and Sales Support team members.

• Ensure all new customer POs and change orders are processed within 24 hours, new quote requests and changes to quotes processed in 24-48 hours.

• Assist the Sales Support team in collectively working with internal departments (Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Planning, Shipping) to gather all relevant and correct information to meet the customer’s project requirements and deadlines.

• Verify commission calculations for Reps and confirm proper prepayments needed to seamlessly release customer orders to ship.

• Proactively monitor sales orders, through internal meetings and open order review, to avoid potential issues or technical concerns.

• Anticipate the requirements of new projects by working closely with Sales, Quotes and Engineering and process sample orders, as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business or Technical field required;
Bachelors preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

• Successful experience in a fast paced, multitasking environment required.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word), Internet

• SAP S/4 HANA software is strongly preferred.

• Ability to learn new and complicated systems quickly, with a strong background in ERP systems and other databases.

• Experience in Lighting is strongly preferred.
