Overview
We are seeking dynamic individuals for two key roles:
Academic Advisor and New Enrollment Specialist. Both work with students who are in the post-acceptance stage. This full-time role provides the opportunity to work from home or from our office. You will encourage students through meaningful conversations as they prepare for a rewarding academic career. - Providing exceptional customer service to students and other university employees primarily over the phone, but also via email.
- Navigating student issues to complete and accurate resolutions, utilizing knowledge of online programs and university policies, and connecting students with the correct person or department when needed.
- Answering questions of a complex nature regarding the University s policies.
- Developing relationships and coordinating with support offices to solve student problems and address student concerns.
- Finding new and innovative ways to become more effective and efficient in new student services.
- Implementing daily and weekly feedback from the Management Team on areas to improve.
- Meeting or exceeding departmental key performance indicators.
- Some college experience and customer service/sales experience is required; a bachelor s degree and previous experience in a contact center is preferred.
- Ability to work first/second shifts, rotating Saturdays, and occasional overtime.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours; demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Ability to reason, analyze information and identify potential issues; apply sound judgment to solve problems which may be routine or complex.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building; lift 10 pounds or less.
- Reliable internet connection with specific speed and stability requirements; satellite-based providers (e.g., Starlink) are not compatible. Wired broadband is recommended.
- After initial training, shift hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
- Ability to work evening hours, Saturdays, and occasional overtime.
