Job Description

We’re looking for Customer Service Guides who are tech‑savvy, resilient, and passionate about helping others. This is more than customer service—you’ll be the trusted voice for our members and providers, guiding them through the complex world of healthcare with empathy, clarity, and confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for members and providers, handling 30–40 calls per day and managing chats, texts, emails, video, and co‑browsing.
  • Navigate multiple systems and balance several interactions at once, staying accountable for accurate, timely, and empathetic resolutions.
  • Answer client and provider questions including, but not limited to, claims payment, status, coverage information, benefits, eligibility, and provider location.
  • Educate customers on their plan and encourage use of digital tools.
  • Interpret client health plan protocols and review claims status.
  • Ensure accurate and complete call documentation and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Safeguard privacy at all times, strictly following HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Document thoroughly, take ownership of issues, and follow through until every customer feels heard and supported.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare contact center.
  • 3+ years of overall customer service experience.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or recent work toward a degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience working across multiple customer service channels (calls, chat, text, email).
  • Tech‑savvy with the ability to learn and pivot quickly across multiple systems.
  • Strong communication, listening, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Calm, professional presence in high‑volume situations, with empathy as a core strength.
Schedule
  • Core business hours:
    Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Central Time).
  • This is a temporary 12‑week role, 40 hours per week.
Remote Work Technical Requirements
  • Own reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload).
  • Ability to conduct video calls with camera.
  • Secure home workspace and ability to connect to internal and external systems.
Compensation

Base pay range: $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, paid biweekly. Final base pay decisions depend on skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure/certifications.

Additional Information – Base Pay

Base pay range for this role is between $21.00 to $22.00 per hour, paid biweekly.
