Position: Customer Support Specialist – Backyard Chickens (Remote) KS (Remote)

    We're hiring Flock Care Specialists to assist fellow chicken keepers while working from home. Whether you're looking for a steady full-time position or a flexible part-time role, this is a great opportunity to turn your poultry knowledge into a rewarding job.

    Starting Pay:

    $10 per hour, with paid training.

    What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities):
    • Respond to customers in a warm, professional manner via email, phone, and chat.
    • Answer customer questions about chick and chicken care.
    • Share your personal chicken-keeping experience to help customers choose breeds, set up coops, and solve flock issues.
    • Process order changes and cancellations, ensuring accuracy.
    • Enter data accurately on internal reports.
    • Stay up-to-date on My Pet Chicken's products, policies, and best practices.
    Who We're Looking For

    We're seeking candidates who are passionate about poultry, great communicators, and comfortable with technology.

    • Backyard chicken keepers – You must currently own chickens or have significant past experience raising them.
    • Compassionate & patient – Our customers love their flocks, and they trust us to provide expert, friendly advice.
    • Tech-savvy – Able to learn and navigate e-commerce platforms, order processing, and customer management tools.
    • Excellent communication skills – Strong writing, grammar, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
    • Detail-oriented & reliable – Able to follow through on tasks, take accurate notes, and manage customer interactions effectively.
    • Adaptable & proactive – We value team members who can troubleshoot and take initiative.
    What You Need to Apply
    • Chicken-keeping experience REQUIRED – You must currently keep chickens or have deep knowledge of flock care. Applications from non-chicken-keepers will not be considered.
    • Basic computer skills – Comfortable using email, online systems, and order processing tools (we'll train you!).
    • Reliable home office setup – You must have:
      • Your own computer (desktop or laptop; Chromebooks/tablets are not sufficient).
      • A high-speed, reliable internet connection for video calls and online tools.
      • A quiet, distraction-free workspace for customer calls.
