CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA
Membership Services provides information, advice and support services to members to enable the management of their CMPA membership and eligibility for medical-legal protection and other CMPA services. The Contact Centre is the entry point for all inquiries to the CMPA, member validation, case creation, and assignment. The division screens phone calls for medical-legal assistance, and transfers these calls to facilitate timely and appropriate member support.
The Contact Centre handles over 160,000 inquiries per year.
Working in the Membership Services department, the summer student responsibilities will include but are not limited to Medical Legal phone work, membership inbound and outbound calls, data entry, assessing the completeness of applications, and contacting the physician via email, telephone or correspondence to request missing information. This position will involve repetitive tasks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High School Diploma and enrolled in a post-secondary institute
- Experience in a busy office environment with previous telephone customer service experience considered an asset
- Bilingual-French/English is required
- Strong Customer service and critical thinking skills
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Software applications such as MS Office

- Salary range:
Between $19.50-$26.50/hour based on level of education and previous relevant work experience. - Location:
Hybrid – Primary Remote. You can work from a home-based office the majority of the time within the provinces of Ontario and Québec, with regular on-site presence at the CMPA office (1-2 days per week). If you prefer, you can choose to work out of the CMPA office in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow’s Lake. - Students are defined as individuals who are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution during the year that they are employed. To be considered for a position, candidates must be enrolled in an academic program with a co-op term from May 202 6 to August 2026.

STAGIAIRE (SERVICE DES ADHÉSIONS)CONTRIBUTION À L’ACPM
Le Service des adhésions offre renseignements, conseils et services de soutien aux membres pour faciliter la gestion de leur adhésion à l’ACPM, mais aussi de leur admissibilité à une protection médico-légale ainsi qu’à d’autres services offerts par l’Association. Le Centre de contact est le carrefour par lequel transitent toutes les demandes soumises à l’ACPM, notamment la validation de l’adhésion ainsi que la création et l’attribution des dossiers.
Le personnel de la division répond aux demandes d’assistance médico-légale soumises par téléphone et transfère ces appels de manière à ce que les membres de l’ACPM reçoivent un soutien approprié en temps opportun. Le Centre de contact traite plus de 155 000 demandes chaque année.
