Overview
Insurance Billing Representative
Build valuable customer service and billing experience in the insurance sector while supporting inbound inquiries and account-related requests. This dynamic role offers a fast-paced environment, meaningful interactions with customers and internal teams, and the opportunity to contribute to a positive customer experience every day.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to Licensed Insurance Advisors, Contact Centre staff, Insurance Branch staff, and customers.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with insurance partners and underwriters.
- Support inbound billing inquiries as a representative of the organization.
- Communicate clearly, effectively, and empathetically with customers through telephone and email interactions.
- Identify customer needs and respond appropriately and professionally.
- Gather relevant information in a systematic manner to ensure seamless customer interactions.
- Take ownership of customer inquiries and maintain a strong commitment to resolution and follow-up.
- Handle approximately 50 inbound calls per day.
- 1-2 years of experience in a contact centre environment, preferably within the insurance or banking industry.
- Ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Professional telephone and email communication skills and etiquette.
- Proficiency with word processing software, Microsoft Excel, and web-based Windows applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve customer concerns.
- Strong attendance and punctuality record.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
- Contract type:
Full-time, Fixed term contract - Contract length: 10 months
- Pay: $19.15 per hour
- Hours:
37.5 hours per week;
Rotating shifts within call centre hours;
Availability for evening and Saturday shifts required - Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm;
Saturday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm - Location:
Hybrid role – 2-3 days/week in Markham office;
Work from home option where applicable
