Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations professional to support a UK-based employer in their operations team. We are looking for a South African professional with Mandarin language skills to join the team. This role will be a great fit for someone who is highly organised, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring smooth workflow and meeting deadlines
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve processes
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Mandarin-speaking clients, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve collective goals and objectives
  • Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in operations or a related field
  • Fluency in Mandarin, both written and verbal
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence using tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach
  • Access to a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and a quiet working environment

Requirements

Previous office administration or coordination experience preferred. Excellent organisational and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication in English. Must be based in South Africa.

Benefits
