About the Role

Our client is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Tour Guide Coordinator to manage and schedule tour guides for their operations servicing the Upington area and surrounding Northern Cape attractions. This remote role is vital for ensuring the smooth running of daily tours, matching guides with appropriate tours based on expertise and availability, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. You will serve as a key liaison between the company, the guides, and the guests, ensuring memorable and well-executed travel experiences.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication, logistical planning skills, and a passion for showcasing the beauty of the Northern Cape.

• Schedule and assign tour guides to various tours based on availability, expertise, and client requirements.
• Communicate tour details, routes, and client expectations clearly to assigned guides.
• Monitor tour progress and ensure guides adhere to schedules and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of guide shifts, performance, and client feedback.
• Act as a primary point of contact for guides, addressing any operational issues or questions they may have.
• Assist in developing and refining tour routes and content to enhance the guest experience in Upington and the Northern Cape.

• Previous experience in tour operations, coordination, or a related role in the tourism industry.
• Strong understanding of tour guiding principles and logistical planning.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
