Location:
Colchester Join our clients Team as a Business Travel Consultant. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business travel, who thrives under pressure and is committed to providing excellent customer service. Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor, you will handle key client enquiries and manage travel arrangements efficiently. Day-to-day of the role:
Respond to enquiries and reservations from clients, ensuring compliance with the client company’s travel policy. Process E-tickets and other required travel documentation according to client profiles. Provide advice and options for itineraries, including the most cost-effective travel means. Ensure clients receive accurate information about their planned itinerary. Conduct thorough research for each client to ensure top service quality and informed decision-making.
Offer ancillary services such as car hire, hotels, private car transfers, and parking. Confirm all booking information – fares, itineraries, e-ticket details, changes – within specified deadlines. Build and update travelers’ profiles to meet their needs accurately. Familiarise with preferred suppliers and offer these when appropriate. Ensure the accuracy and up-to-date status of profile and booking systems. Monitor and action personal and team queues.
Issue all tickets within specified deadlines and process refunds within 24 hours of cancellation. Handle rail refunds and enquiries, and arrange hotel billbacks. Provide training, advice, and support to new staff members. Serve as a first responder to online queries. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Proven business travel experience. Knowledge of fares and ticketing. Effective telephone and verbal reasoning skills. Excellent written communication skills, as the role is predominantly email-based. Good active listening skills and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work to strict deadlines and as part of a team. Excellent time management and rapport-building skills. Availability to work between 8am – 6pm on a rota basis, attend out-of-hours training/presentations, and work some bank holidays.
Home workers may be required to attend monthly meetings. Key Qualities:
