Customer Experience Advocate; Remote, Insurance Tech Startup

This is a phone and service role handling calls from existing policyholders who want changes made to their coverage. The work involves updating vehicles, drivers, and lienholders, processing policy documents, and spotting things customers did not think to ask about, such as a coverage gap or a better rate. A strong candidate is friendly, patient, a clear communicator, and good at working through problems step by step.

Past customer service, sales, or hospitality work helps but is not required.

How it fits the AI era

The company builds its product around AI that shops many insurers, so the app likely handles much of the comparison and routine quoting. That leaves the advocate to handle the cases that need judgment, like explaining why a renewal changed or matching a customer to the right insurer. Warmth, trust, and noticing what a customer missed stay human strengths, and the advocate also helps shape the product by passing on what customers report.

Working daily with an AI-driven insurance app, and with a product that keeps changing, gives hands-on experience seeing where automation helps and where people still step in. Learning how recommendations are made across a large panel of insurers builds useful product knowledge. Sharing customer feedback with a short loop to the product team is a practical way to learn how AI tools get improved.
