We do this through public tools and data transparency, most recently with Watchtower, a platform tracking whether banks are keeping their climate commitments. We’re looking for a front‑end developer based in Europe to join us on Watchtower, helping transform complex climate finance data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with our technical lead and design collaborators to evolve Watchtower’s dashboard, build new features, and ensure a smooth user experience for our NGO and public partners.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and refine user‑facing components for Watchtower using React
, Type Script , and modern front‑end practices. - Collaborate with back‑end developers and data analysts to visualise key metrics and trends.
- Help maintain a clean, scalable codebase with strong attention to accessibility and performance.
- Contribute ideas to improve usability, storytelling, and data presentation.
- Proven experience developing front‑end applications with React (or an equivalent modern framework).
- Proficiency in Type Script, API integration, and data visualisation libraries (e.g., D3, Chart.js, Recharts).
- Understanding of responsive design and accessibility best practices.
- Self‑motivated, comfortable working asynchronously in a distributed team.

You’ll help build one of the few global tools holding banks accountable to their climate pledges, used by leading NGOs and journalists. The work is flexible, collaborative, and meaningful, combining real impact with solid engineering challenges.
