Carvell Architects is an award winning 30-year-old Architectural, Urban Design, and Planning firm located in the Golden Triangle Creative Arts District adjacent to the Denver Art Museum in the heart of downtown Denver. Carvell has developed a nationally recognized expertise in the design of next generation buildings for:
Student Life Facilities on College and University Campuses, Affordable and Supportive housing for low‑income families and homeless individuals, high density market rate multi‑family residential mixed use, and recuperative care/assisted living projects. Carvell Architects is looking for a talented and passionate Project Architect to join our collaborative culture in the Rocky Mountain West. This is a great opportunity for an Architect to be involved throughout the project lifecycle and grow their career into a leadership position.

The Project Architect’s responsibilities will be in all aspects of design and the execution of phased Schematic, DD, and CD document packages. You will work closely in a collaborative team atmosphere with the firm’s principal & senior associates.
What you bring- 5 – 10 years of experience in an architecture office
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Architecture, Master’s degree preferred
- Licensed required
- Exceptional design and graphic presentation skills, participate in design charrettes
- Creatively excite our team with ideas that align with the projects design intent
- Strong communication, written, and collaboration skills
- Strong Revit skills-advancing the SD, DD, and CD documents in compliance with building and zoning codes having jurisdiction
- Fluent in Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up, and Rendering Platforms such as Revit 3D, Rhino, Lumion, 3
Ds Max, or Enscape - Experience on project management and construction administration for commercial/institutional and residential/mixed use construction
- Collaborates with and coordinates work of Engineering Consultants to ensure the project deliverables are coordinated, and support the overall design intent
- LEED AP/WELL Building certification a plus
- Must have current portfolio of work
- Must be organized and task oriented
