Join MRB Group as an Architect located in Charleston, SC to work on municipal and private sector projects. MRB Group is a multidisciplinary firm specializing in engineering, architecture, and planning services dedicated to creating innovative, sustainable solutions.

The Architect will support the architectural team in design and execution of a wide range of projects, providing hands‑on experience in design, documentation, and coordination.

• Assist in the development of architectural design concepts, drawings, and presentation materials.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit and other design software.
• Participate in project design meetings, refining design ideas and ensuring alignment with client goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
• Assist in preparing design presentations and reports for municipal clients, private developers, and stakeholders.
• Respond to client inquiries and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Draft and organize project documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, and permitting documents.
• Coordinate zoning, permitting, and code compliance, ensuring projects meet local regulations and requirements.
• Support sustainable design efforts, incorporating energy‑efficient solutions and materials.
• Engage in mentoring and development opportunities to expand knowledge of architecture and local regulations.
• Engage in continuing education, professional certifications, and industry events to enhance professional growth.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• 2-5 years of post‑licensure professional experience in architecture, preferably working with municipal clients and private sector developers.
• Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, and other design and drafting software.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and municipal regulations.
• Familiarity with construction documentation, specifications, and project coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
• Passion for design and eagerness to grow in architecture.
• Preferred:
  Experience on municipal, residential, commercial, or mixed‑use projects.
• Preferred: LEED Green Associate or other sustainability certifications.
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of site analysis and environmental considerations in design.

• Competitive base salary $65,000 – $110,000.
