Certain spaces simply work. You instinctively want to understand what makes them succeed. If you're a designer who perceives both granular detail and overarching systems, who is energized by physical environments over conceptual boards, and who is convinced that elegant, high-performing spaces can be systematized at scale, this role activates that skillset. We are establishing a nationwide network of 2 Hour Learning campuses.

These are facilities where students complete an entire school day's academics in two concentrated hours, then dedicate the remainder of their day to pursuing interests, developing practical capabilities, and engaging in physical activity. Your responsibility is to make these environments remarkable. Serving as the execution lead for interior design across our portfolio, you will establish modular frameworks for spatial planning, FF&E, play areas, and navigation systems.

You will guarantee precise implementation at each location. You will visit campuses in person, identify shortcomings that others overlook, develop improvement plans, and shepherd them from budgeting through installation. This role differs from conventional design positions in that it is deeply integrated with execution. You won't produce specifications and move on. You'll be present to troubleshoot installations, mentor vendors, and gather insights that refine subsequent deployments.

If you are prepared to translate your design expertise into nationwide influence, this is the opportunity.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Build modular, scalable design frameworks for spatial planning, FF&E, finishes, and play environments that adapt across varied campus contexts
  • Execute on-site evaluations with standardized assessment tools to measure adherence to brand guidelines and identify high-value enhancements
  • Produce detailed, visually clear, budget-conscious proposals for facility improvements that align with educational philosophy, brand identity, and family engagement
  • Manage vendor performance on-site, guaranteeing alignment with standards, financial parameters, and schedules through direct quality oversight
  • Capture post-implementation learnings by recording outcomes, lessons, and revisions to operational guides
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Creating custom, high-touch environments that cannot be systematized or repeated.
  • Delivering plans and disengaging. You retain ownership from assessment through completion.
  • Waiting for ideal conditions. This position values proactive decision-making, rapid testing, and sound judgment under uncertainty.
  • Inventing open-ended design concepts. The work is tightly anchored in brand consistency and operational feasibility.
  • Operating remotely. You will spend 50-75% of your time in the field.
