Certain spaces simply work. You instinctively want to understand what makes them effective. If you're a designer who grasps both granular detail and overarching systems, who excels in physical environments rather than conceptual presentations, and who trusts that well‑designed, functional spaces can be replicated at scale, this role applies your expertise directly.

We are establishing a nationwide network of 2 Hour Learning campuses. These are facilities where students complete a full academic curriculum in two focused hours, then dedicate the remainder of their day to passion projects, life skill development, and physical activity. Your responsibility is to make these environments memorable. As the owner of interior environment execution across our network, you will establish modular guidelines for spatial layout, FF&E, play areas, and navigation systems.

You will guarantee precise implementation at each location. You will visit campuses, identify overlooked deficiencies, define upgrade scopes, and manage them from budgeting through installation.

This role differs from conventional design positions in that it is not separated from execution. You will not deliver drawings and move on. You will be present, correcting installations, guiding vendors, and gathering insights that inform subsequent deployments. If you are prepared to convert your design expertise into influence at a national scale, this is the opportunity.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Develop modular, self‑service design frameworks for spatial layouts, FF&E, material specifications, and play environments that replicate effectively across varied campus sites
  • Execute on‑site evaluations using standardized assessment tools to measure compliance with brand standards and identify opportunities for meaningful enhancement
  • Prepare detailed, visually documented, budget‑conscious proposals for space improvements that align with pedagogical goals, brand identity, and parent expectations
  • Supervise vendor implementation on‑site, maintaining adherence to standards, budgets, and schedules through direct quality assurance
  • Complete post‑installation feedback cycles by recording outcomes, lessons learned, and refining operational playbooks based on findings
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Creating custom, artisanal environments that cannot be systematized or reproduced.
  • Delivering specifications and disengaging. You own the entire process from evaluation through installation.
  • Delaying action for complete information. This role values initiative, rapid iteration, and decision‑making under uncertainty.
  • Generating unstructured design from a blank slate. The work is tightly integrated with brand identity and operational realities.
  • Operating remotely from a desk. You will be traveling and on‑site 50‑75% of the time.
