Job Description
The Future Talent Program features co‑operative assignments lasting up to six months, with one or more projects. This role is located in the Manufacturing & Supply Division at the Company’s West Point, PA site and provides valuable development experience, allowing candidates to determine if they are a good long‑term fit.
This position reports to Vaccine Automation Management, supporting ongoing operational activities and complying with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) gowning restrictions (e.g., removal of jewelry, makeup, false nails). Under guidance from Department Management, the Vaccine Manufacturing Automation Co‑op will:
Responsibilities- Complete a variety of automation projects supporting vaccine manufacturing.
- Use computer simulation to test proposed changes prior to implementation.
- Author new and update existing GMP documentation.
- Participate in daily plant operations, including upgrades and maintenance support for manufacturing equipment, and collaborate with technology, quality, planning, and validation teams.
- Gain practical experience in GMP, safety, environmental requirements, and equipment operation.
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Business and Engineering, or a major within the College of Computing and Informatics.
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of GMP compliance, manufacturing support, project management, and data analysis tools.
- Programming skills in Python and familiarity with database management, cloud data catalog, and computer simulations.
This is a full‑time Co‑op position. The program may close before the posted end date or remain open beyond it at the company’s discretion.
Salary range: $39,600.00–$ USD
Location: West Point, PA, USA (Hybrid work model: three office days Monday–Thursday, remote Friday; field‑based or manufacturing positions require on‑site presence).
