Interior Designer

Overview

This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in all phases of the design process—from concept development and visualizations to technical documentation, sourcing, and project support. You will work closely with our principal and design team, contributing creatively while developing strong technical and client-facing skills within a collaborative, boutique studio environment.

You will have the opportunity to work on and create visual design concepts and presentations, develop detailed floor plans and layouts, and assist in preparing technical drawings and specifications. You will collaborate with contractors and trades to ensure accurate execution of design intent, communicate regularly with team members and clients, and support project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and documentation.

As part of the design team you will contribute across all project phases, support documentation, and client communication to ensure successful project delivery in a boutique studio setting.

• 3-5+ years of residential interior design experience
• 1+ year professional work experience using Sketch Up and Photoshop required
• Experience in architecture, cabinetry or construction is a strong plus
• Familiarity with tools such as Houzz Pro, Asana, Slack, or Dubsado is a plus
• Must have full-time availability (40 hours/week) and ability to work on-site in The Plains, VA at least 4 days per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). No weekends required
