Architectural Drafter - Trophy Signature Homes

Position Purpose

The Architectural Drafter must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.

This position consists of maintaining and editing all CAD related files including construction documents, floor plans and architectural renderings for Trophy Signature Homes.

• Assist and/or create and maintain all DWG files within Auto Cad.
• Must be able to review and identify plan inaccuracies related to code and Trophy specifications.
• Collaborative review process with another Cad drafter.
• Work with sales, marketing, purchasing and construction to review and markup plans for future changes.
• Track, review and complete approved plan changes.
• Review completed documents received by outside consultants including framing, floor system, renderings, brochures and architectural plans.
• Work with starts and permits department to resolve any plan related issues.

Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Plano Corporate Office, this is not a Hybrid or Remote position.

College degree helpful but not necessary, any Project Management certification helpful, basic computer skills required.

• 3 years of residential architecture experience.
• 3 years’ AutoCAD experience required.
• Revit experience preferred but not required.
• Architectural rendering/Graphic design preferred but not required.
• Autodesk Review experience preferred.

• Must possess the ability to produce full construction documents and create new floor plans/elevations with directions from the V. P. of Purchasing.
• Knowledge of the homebuilding industry required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to set priorities and react to time‑critical work.
• Must manage and track each project to completion.
