Technical & CAD Designer — ideally London/Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire (remote working)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Technical & CAD Designer to join a leading UK manufacturer of high‑quality flat roof waterproofing and insulation systems. The role is primarily remote, with regular client/site days as required.

We are seeking an excellent Technical & CAD Designer from an architectural practice (architectural technician) or a flat‑roofing/facades contractor who wants to progress their career. The successful candidate will work with top industry clients to produce general arrangement drawings and construction detail drawings in AutoCAD, and provide technical design support throughout projects.

• Produce bespoke technical detail drawings and general arrangement drawings in AutoCAD
• Update and create standard details
• Support, advise and collaborate with architects and main contractor clients to resolve design issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice
• Deliver high‑quality design information to required timescales
• Work within Key Accounts and with Area Technical Managers to provide excellent service and support
• Liaise with subcontractors to ensure drawings are reviewed and coordinated

• Strong background in construction within a roofing & facades contractor or an architectural practice
• Proven experience producing GA and construction detail drawings in AutoCAD
• Exceptional IT skills, including Microsoft Office suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self‑motivated with exemplary attention to detail
• Full current driving licence
• Preferably based within a reasonable commuting distance of London (role is primarily remote)
