A leading London-based architectural practice is seeking an accredited Conservation Architect to join its studio team. The practice is recognised for creatively reimagining historic buildings for new cultural and public uses, delivering thoughtful and technically rigorous adaptations across a wide range of significant heritage sites.

The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced conservation architect to take a key position within a collaborative design studio, working on the transformation and adaptation of listed buildings and historically sensitive sites.

You will act as a day-to-day project lead, coordinating with team members, consultants and clients, and taking responsibility for delivering projects from concept through to construction. The role suits someone passionate about resolving technical challenges, leading project delivery, and contributing to a design-led environment where research, testing and innovation inform the process.

As an active member of the studio, you will also contribute to wider practice initiatives, helping shape its ongoing evolution and approach to conservation and adaptive reuse.

The Practice

The practice is an established London studio of architects and designers working at the intersection of heritage, culture and contemporary design. Its work focuses on adapting buildings of all ages, inventing new types of spaces that respond to modern needs while respecting the character and significance of their context.

With over two decades of experience, the team has delivered projects across Grade I, II
* and II listed sites, as well as complex and sensitive locations. The studio is known for collaborative working with clients, users, experts and communities, alongside a strong commitment to research-led design, material innovation, and low‑carbon construction.

Current and recent projects include major cultural venues, historic theatres, learning centres in nationally significant settings, and the transformation of landmark heritage assets across the UK.
