Opportunity
Our growing Landscape Architecture team has exciting opportunities ranging from Senior Architect/Planner to Associate Director for experienced and enthusiastic Landscape Architects with Landscape Planning and LVIA experience to work on prestigious projects across the UK. Responsibilities- Carry out landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments (LVIAs).
- Provide strategic analysis and strategic green infrastructure advice.
- Contribute to landscape-led master planning and strategic design sketches.
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams across urban regeneration, new town settlements, tall buildings, residential/mixed‑use greenfield developments, commercial, infrastructure and energy projects.
- Collaborate with senior colleagues and specialists across offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London, Reading, Warrington and Edinburgh.
- Preliminary landscape and visual appraisals to inform the development process.
- Landscape and visual impact assessments.
- Conceptual and strategic design sketches.
- Townscape and visual impact assessments and tall building assessments.
- Strategic assessments of designations such as Green Belts and Strategic Gaps.
- Landscape capacity and sensitivity studies and character assessments.
- Input to Vision Documents, Design and Access Statements and Design Codes.
- Track record of relevant work experience in a landscape architecture practice or multi‑disciplinary consultancy, including completing LVIAs.
- Good knowledge of current UK planning and environmental assessment legislation.
- Ability to develop designs, write reports, and be confident working with industry software.
- May be CMLI or currently progressing on the Landscape Institute Pathway to Chartership (P2C). Mentoring is provided for P2C development.
These roles can be based in any of our Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London, Reading, Warrington, and Edinburgh offices. Hybrid working allows a mix of in‑office and home working.
