This opportunity is for an experienced interior designer to consult on transforming a residential bedroom into a functional and aesthetically pleasing office space in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The project is in its early planning and research phase, and the client seeks expert guidance to define the scope, estimate timelines, and develop a cohesive design vision. The ideal candidate will provide creative solutions tailored to a home office environment, ensuring the space is optimized for productivity and comfort.
On-site presence is preferred, but applicants willing to travel will also be considered.
- Conduct an initial consultation to assess the current space and discuss project goals
- Develop a comprehensive design concept for the office conversion, including layout, color schemes, and furniture recommendations
- Provide a detailed project plan with estimated timelines and milestones
- Source materials, furnishings, and decor suitable for a professional home office
- Offer guidance on lighting, storage solutions, and ergonomic considerations
- Present mood boards, sketches, or digital renderings to communicate design ideas
- Advise on budget allocation and cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with contractors or suppliers as needed
- Proven experience in residential interior design, with a portfolio showcasing similar renovation projects
- Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and office ergonomics
- Ability to create detailed design concepts and communicate ideas visually and verbally
- Familiarity with sourcing materials and furnishings in the UAE market
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Willingness to work on-site in Sharjah or travel as required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clients during the planning phase
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, or similar tools
