Project Architect

A respected and design-led architectural practice in Berkshire is seeking a talented Project Architect to join its growing team. Renowned for delivering exceptional high-end residential architecture and interiors, the studio has built a strong reputation for thoughtful, detail-driven design and outstanding client service. The practice specializes in bespoke private residential projects, including one-off new-build homes, extensive renovations, and carefully considered extensions to character properties.

• Lead and manage high-end residential projects through all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout project delivery.
• Produce high-quality design, planning, tender and construction drawing packages.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and wider project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Attend and lead client meetings, design reviews and site visits.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve design and construction-related queries.
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.
• Champion sustainable and environmentally responsible design principles throughout projects.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.

• ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience delivering high-end UK private residential projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently through all RIBA stages.
• Strong design and technical capability, with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident managing client relationships with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driven, committed and motivated to develop into a key role within the practice.
• Collaborative and supportive approach to working within a close-knit team.
• Genuine interest in sustainability, with Passivhaus knowledge or experience highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.
• 3D modelling and visualisation skills beneficial.
• Experience or interest in AI-led visualisation tools advantageous.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Ideally located within a 45-minute commute of the office.
• Full UK driving licence beneficial for site visits.

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
